With sports being the main focus in the town of Barnesville, it is hard to get good glorification for other things, such as the Barnesville Band. Miss. Jessica Wiseman is the most recently hired music teacher through Barnesville Schools.
This is not the only teaching position she had. Her first teaching position was at a school near Cincinnati, Ohio. There she was the director of band and choir.
Miss. Wiseman attended college at Kent State University. She majored in musical education and flute. She attended Kent State University for three years after graduating from Warren Local High School in a town near Marietta, Ohio.
Miss. Jessica Wiseman can play nine different instruments – Flute, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, French horn, Piccolo, Trumpet, Guitar, and Piano. Out of all nine instruments, the piano is her favorite. She’s been playing piano ever since she was five years old.
Her favorite types of music are show tunes, jazz, and country. Two of her most favorite artists are The Beatles and Bucky Covington.
She did many things when she was in high school. She was in many clubs including NHS, SHS, SAC, FTA, Young Republicans, and FCS. She also participated in the band, cheerleading squad, ski team, soccer team, and softball team.
She has many goals for our school. She will be involved at Barnesville High School as she was at her own High School.
