Hello and Welcome to the Barnesville High School Band Web site. My name is Derek Deal. I have been in charge of this web site for 3 years. In most of those years I had someone else in charge of the site. I submitted information during that time, to the other person.
> Who am I? I am a Senior at Barnesville High School. I have participated in the Barnesville Marching Band for 5 years. I also participated in the OVAC Mcdonald All-Star Marching Band for 2 years. I Played bass drum 1 yr. and Cymbals the other year.
In My Years of Marching Band, at Barnesville High School I have played Bass Drum for 4 years. I also have played the Sousaphone for one song for one of the 4 years. I'm now playing the Snare Drum. I'm also the Captain for the BHS- Drumline.
I also Organized and started the Barnesville Cavalcade of Bands. This makes me the Official Barnesville Cavalcade of Bands Organizer. This is an awesome position. I'm learning new things and finding new things out each day.
I would like to take some time, to thank some people that helped me with this site. I would like to thank Beth Seneff she helped me with the old site. Without her the Barnesville Band would never have a web site. She also helped me get the newest one out, by telling me about the Google pages program.
I would also like to take some time and thank Kelly Blecher, for providing me with the photo of the band. She does a lot of hard work for our band. She even saved the program from stopping, when a bunch of layoffs in the school were going on. Without her hard work and dedication, there wouldn’t be a Barnesville Band.
I would also like to thank Miss Jessica Wiseman for all of her hard work. She's teaching us the basics and stuff we need to know, about music. Miss Wiseman is a very dedicated and is an excellent music teacher for our program. She is very active in our band program. Miss Wiseman has many aspects and future goals for our band.
